I engaged EDP to help prepare our senior managers to address a strategic issue facing our organization.
EDP readily understood the challenge, custom designed a program to equip our people with the requisite knowledge and skills, and brought us a top notch professor who taught a powerful two day onsite program that was very well received by our diverse group from several different countries.

As our organization grows, our managers must grow as well. Some management and leadership practices that worked when we were smaller have to give way to different approaches as our organization becomes more complex and the market opportunities become larger. Talent identification, development and retention have been identified as major challenges for us to grow beyond our current capabilities. To meet these challenges we engaged the people at EDP to conduct an organizational needs analysis and custom design and deliver two onsite leadership development programs.
The first was a three-module senior leadership program centered around competitive strategy, organizational change, and customer centricity, coupled with inter-module projects identified by our C-Suite executives. At the culmination of the nine month program and project period, the senior level participants delivered capstone presentations to our Executive Committee. The program was not only a terrific developmental experience for our leadership team, but we anticipate millions of dollars of new revenue and savings as a result of implementing the projects worked on during the senior leadership program.
The second program was a five day mid-level management program designed around our company’s leadership characteristics and competencies. Its purpose was to help our managers meet the challenge of managing people more effectively within an environment of increasing change and complexity. This is a critical part of our strategy to develop future leaders through our leadership talent pipeline. Program content emphasized the human aspect of the business enterprise, the importance of understanding people's behaviors and motivations, as well as the impact of one’s own behavior on others. The program was so successful and we had enough budding new leaders that we ran the program for several years and rolled it out to our European operations as well.
Content for all programs was designed to affect business outcomes. Program management ensured efficiency and effectiveness of the investment. Selected faculty were leading edge and clearly thought leaders in their field. Lastly, the EDP organization and team have shown integrity, client focus and expertise delivering these high impact business programs that have established new leadership standards and changed how we execute our business globally.
There is no question in my mind that these programs provided our executives and managers with the leadership competencies necessary to move our company to its next level of growth and effectiveness.
